More and more people are paying concern to the impacts, positive or negative ones, of cotton production. At the international level, the ICAC has been recently mandated of providing information on the social, environmental & economic performance of cotton production in the world.
but information on the references of existing works is not so much well organized.
An open access data base will help, in particular if it is set up by using a thesaurus specific to the societal issues related to cotton production and processing.
the conception and the feeding of the literature reference data base, in the framework of the new research network being constituted.
