Here are provided news and comments about the ISSCRI Project and about the issue of cotton policies in various countries.
These news help you be informed about the implementation of the Project, the passed or scheduled events as well as outputs achieved
Many cotton countries are adjusting their cotton policies, either to comply with their international commitments in the framework of WTO or to respond to the reactions from the stakeholders of their cotton sectors. The information about these adjustments is relevant for the implementation of the ISSCRI Project.
We integrate in this domain the information about the actions or initiatives undertaken in the framework of the "Cotton Dossier", at national, regional, and international levels, notably within WTO.
We also report the interactions between stakeholders regarding cotton policies. These interactions are reported by a selection of newspapers in the main cotton countries in the world. We limit ourselves to give very brief abstracts and to link to the original papers.
