The ISSCRI International conference on the "Rationales and evolutions of cotton policies" took place in Montpellier (France), May 13-17, 2008.
There were 28 communications split into four sessions: "Panorama on cotton policies in the world"; "Impacts of cotton policies on production and producers"; "Cotton policies, production factors and modes"; "Cotton policies, retrospective and prospective".
The international conference on "Rationales and evolutions of cotton policies" took place in Montpellier (France), May 13-17, 2008
More than 80 persons, from 21 countries, attended the conference. A dozen of peoples, representing other five countries, have failed coming for visa issues.

Synthesis of the outcomes of the interviews at the European level
In order to assist the national processes of interaction between cotton sector stakeholders, and within the participative approach embedded in the project methodology, two national surveys in Greece and Spain were carried out to capture stakeholders opinions, notably farmers’ opinion, on the NCR . This report presents a comparative assessment of the results of both studies.
